The House of ANGOSTURA® brings its #SoulOfAngostura campaign to London’s Cocktails in the City on 3rd and 4th August, teaming up with Cottons Restaurants & Rum Shacks to create a menu that fuses the flavours of the Caribbean with local British ingredients.

ANGOSTURA® is teaming up with Cottons Restaurants & Rum Shacks to bring its #SoulOfAngostura campaign tour to London, showcasing a delicious culinary and cocktail menu that will be showcased at Cocktails in the City on 3rd and 4th August at Bedford Square Gardens. The #SoulOfAngostura campaign celebrates the inextricable link between the Caribbean flavours of Trinidad and Tobago – the home of ANGOSTURA® – and the world-famous bitters and rums that the brand produces. Cottons will fuse Caribbean flavours with classic local British ingredients and the menu will be accompanied by a range of Caribbean-inspired cocktails created specifically for the campaign. Come along to the Cocktails in the City ANGOSTURA® and Cottons stand to try it out! The menu will then be available at all Cottons venues across London for the whole of September.

The #SoulOfAngostura campaign kicked off in May at Vice and Virtue in Leeds, where Yorkshire met the Caribbean in an explosion of flavour, resulting in an award-winning menu at the Leeds Cocktails in the City. ANGOSTURA® has now partnered with Cottons Restaurants & Rum Shacks in London to create a three-course Caribbean menu: Chana dhal with mango & Angostura dressing to start, Angostura bitters battered cod, with cassava fries & pineapple rum Tartar sauce for the main, finishing with Ginger cake served with Angostura jelly and pomegranate rum reduction. The food will be accompanied by a range of specialist cocktails, including the Camden Swizzle, Cottons take on the classic Trinidad-inspired Queen’s Park Swizzle, using ANGOSTURA® 7yo, fresh lime juice, sugar syrup, fresh mint leaves and blackberry, topped with lemonade. This classic punch will combine local British

ingredients with tropical fruits found in Trinidad, celebrating the historical ties that the UK holds with the West Indies.

As the home of the Notting Hill Carnival, Europe’s biggest West Indian carnival, it seems fitting to bring the #SoulOfAngostura campaign to London, and what better restaurant to create the menu than Cottons Restaurants & Rum Shacks. With its roots planted firmly in the Caribbean, Cottons has been serving the best of Caribbean cuisine to Londoners for over 30 years.

The #SoulOfAngostura campaign will then culminate at The Mansfield Traquair in Edinburgh, on 9th and 10th November, where chefs and venues will combine local Scottish ingredients with the flavours of the Caribbean.
