Independent Bottlers That Boutique-y Drinks Company announce latest releases with a focus on the UK and Ireland
This summer That Boutique-y Whisky Company and That Boutique-y Rum Company have once again joined forces to release their Home Nations Series. Following the highly successful Australia Series launched in May 2021, the two independent bottlers have collaborated again to bring the focus closer to home: to the craft whiskies and rums being produced in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
After switching to quarterly releases in August 2020, TBWC has seen a strong response to their themed series which have included World Whiskies and Rye Whiskies, with many lines selling out in their first few weeks of release. TBWC collaborated for the first time with sister brand, TBRC, for last quarter’s release of their Australia Series. A world first, this release brought craft Australian whiskies and rums to global customers, many for the first time. However only one of the rum releases was made available globally, with the other, Blackgate, being an Australian exclusive.
This time around the lineups will bring attention back closer to home, with a release of nine whiskies and three rums from various distilleries, both long-established and brand new, in the home nations.
Sam Simmons, Head of Whisky for Atom Brands, said of the lineup of whiskies,
“Not long ago, just mentioning single malt whisky from anywhere but Scotland would attract puzzled looks, ‘They make Scotch in Japan now?’ Sure, Scotland’s greatest gift to the world is now practiced across the globe, and Boutique-y has endeavoured to showcase that from the very beginning, but the fact is the whole world is making whisky today but the art has been active on these isles, NOT
JUST SCOTLAND, for a long time. We want to tell a part of that story.”

“I was extremely pleased to be approached to bottle some of my barrel-aged stock, and Boutique-y did a phenomenal job with the label on the Ninefold release; it really captures my humour and the family history behind the Ninefold brand. This bottling will be the oldest released Ninefold aged rum so far, and of very limited stock.”
The themed release will once again be joined by a series of Scotch whiskies, including a first batch release of 21 Year Old blended malt from Westport, as well a 38 Year Old Aultmore and a 28 Year Old Bruichladdich.
The full lineup will be available globally from the 27th August 2021 through Atom Brands,
Maverick Drinks as well as online via Master of Malt, The Whisky Exchange, Hard to Find Whisky and various independent spirits retailers.
